Marie Chantal Jackson
Digital Portfolio

Hello! I am Marie Chantal Jackson, a Graphic Design student in my senior year. I currently have a personal focus on UX/UI Research and Design, as well as general illustration. I excel in interpreting composition, developing web designs, and illustrative projects.

In my free time, I have been working in an apprenticeship program at Primordial Ink Tattoo since November 2024. I frequently work and communicate with clients, and I am very privileged to create art that both my clients and I enjoy.

I enjoy using programs such as Figma, Adobe InDesign, and Procreate.

Rhythm Heaven Fest
2026 Rhythm Game Festival Branding

Skills Applied:

• Brand Design

• Logo Design

• Social Media Design

• Promotional Poster Design

• Typography Layout + Hierarchy

• Illustration

• Adobe InDesign Proficiency
Design Brief

I was tasked with creating a full branding for a fictional festival. This included promotional deliverables that would be distributed to attendees. Project requirements included a promotional poster, two schedule posters, a set of branded Instagram ads, and merchandise.

I thoroughly enjoyed the process of this project. I am normally a very colorful and bubbly designer, so getting to work with airy, bright, and game-inspired graphics led to some very visually interesting deliverables. I am very pleased with how each asset came out, and I hope to create more fun work like this.

Akko Winter 2025 Gift Guide
“Typing as Smooth as Snow” Seasonal Branding

Skills Applied:

• Brand Design

• Editorial Design

• Typography Layout + Hierarchy

• Photography

• Photo Editing

• Adobe InDesign Proficiency
Design Brief

Choosing a brand that I would like to work with, I designed a winter-inspired gift guide, implementing both the brand’s existing assets and a fresh, themed take on what the brand could deliver for the season. Project requirements included multiple product spreads, editorial spreads, and a specific layout for later printing.

This project was very indulgent for me, as I really enjoyed designing a guide for a brand that I personally follow. After previously struggling with editorial work in the past, formatting large bodies of text for this project was less challenging and more rewarding.

NEST 2025 Impact Report
Non-Profit Organization Annual Report

Skills Applied:

• Brand Design Updating

• Typography Layout + Hierarchy

• Brand Report Design

• Design for Non-Profit Organization

• Adobe InDesign Proficiency
Design Brief

Working with the challenging task of arranging body copy, I designed an annual report for my chosen non-profit, Nest. Project requirements included creating an editorial spread, an impact spread, and a financial spread to accompany the brand.

This project was very difficult, as I had previously struggled with typography and large body copy in the past. The general layout was a challenge for me, and I had to restart my theme a couple of times. After extensive research about the non-profit’s existing brand design elements, I created a guideline that felt the most successful.

Spotify Social Tab
Digital Product Addition

Skills Applied:

• Existing Brand Design Application

• User Interface Design

• User Interface Research

• Promotional Poster Design

• Mobile App Interface Design

• Figma Proficiency
Design Brief

While interacting with an existing digital product’s interface design, I implemented an additional function that coexists with the brand’s style. Project requirements include at least ten additional “screens” and two new “user flows”.

As I really enjoy Spotify’s interface already, and I had worked with a similar interface previously, I was very excited to apply my own designs to this project. I love being able to recreate Spotify’s interface and weave in my own additions seamlessly, as I enjoy seeing them coexist with the existing interactions.

This project also showed me a good growth margin between my work now and a previous project (the Soundmap interface design, listed below).

Bracelet D.I.Y. Kit
Package Redesign

Skills Applied:

• Illustration

• Brand Design

• Updating Package Design

• Procreate Proficiency

Design Brief

Given a product with an existing package design, I recreated a bracelet kit’s exterior. This included all sides of the package, all written content, and a full rebranding.

Going into the project, I knew that I wanted to add more exciting elements, like the window in the packaging and the shine of the vinyl, as well as a “mascot” for the overall new branding. I hand-lettered all of the text, emulating a playful, child-like vibe. In reality, I just wanted to make the packaging as fun and engaging as possible.

Techno Tarot
“Tinbits” Product Design

Skills Applied:

• Brand Design

• Illustration

• Package Design

• Typography Layout + Hierarchy
Design Brief

Tasked with creating a product for a given “tin”, I fabricated a tarot deck, complete with accompanying crystals and a tarot handbook. Each crystal is labeled, each card hand-illustrated, and the guidebook tells all about each card. The inner foam lining to contain the materials was also instructed to be hand-crafted.

I felt very ambitious about this project, as I have always wanted to design a tarot deck. The final product of this project displays exactly what I had in mind for the product’s vision, holding up to my ambition.

Strings of Dara e-Commerce Site + App
Store Branding Interface Design

Skills Applied:

• Brand Design

• Webpage Interface Design

• Mobile App Interface Design

• Group Collaboration

• Figma Proficiency
Design Brief

As a group, teams of four created full branding for a shop that would be located in a specific country’s airport. The said shop was to distribute goods that would be prominent and abundant in the given country.

My group was assigned Ireland, and we chose to create branding for a woodcarved musical instruments shop. I was personally assigned the duty of creating the interface design for the brand.

As I am very fond of interface design, I enjoyed being able to contribute these deliverables to my group. We developed a brand style guide, and I was able to work off of our style, colors, fonts, and so on to create e-commerce interfaces for our store. I was very pleased with the outcome of this part of our project, and it was a nice highlight in our final presentation.

Soundmap Widgets
Apple Watch Interface

Skills Applied:

• Existing Brand Design Application

• Mobile Interface Design

• Apple Watch Interface Design

• Figma Proficiency
Design Brief

While recreating an existing application’s interface, I created an Apple Watch widget and a Home Screen widget for Soundmap, a music-based mobile game centered on collecting your favorite songs.

I am very fond of the game Soundmap, so working through this project was a very enjoyable experience. I studied Soundmap’s mobile elements and implemented them into a smaller-framed UI. I kept all of the original features in the menu, and generally just redesigned the interface.
